SELEUKID KINGS. Antiochos III ‘the Great’, 223-187 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 15.89 g, 10 h), Seleukeia on the Tigris, 220-211. Diademed head of Antiochos III to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ANTIOXOY Apollo seated left on omphalos, testing arrow held in right hand and resting left on grounded bow; to outer left, ME monogram; to outer right, monogram; in exergue, monogram in circle. HGC 9, 447mm. SC 1161.4. Somewhat rough and the reverse a bit weak, otherwise, very fine.
